Awards & Scholarships Subcommittee

- Responsible for preparing the guidelines and qualifications for awards and scholarships. Soliciting applications from each of the five caucuses in the categories of advocacy, author, and distinguished service as well as the selection of winners and presentation of awards and scholarships.

- Responsible for designing, dissemination, and analysis of the conference evaluation survey. The Committee must also draft a conference evaluation report and present the findings to the Steering Committee. - Responsible for preparing press releases, announcements regarding the conference, scheduling committee photographers to take photos during event, prepare talking points for co-chairs and committee chair, or any interview or news events.
- Responsible for program book (design, layout, printing and migrating to the website), daily e-newsletter; and/or print newsletter, advertisements and Website
- Work closely with webmaster and other subcommittees chairs to maintain and post information for the conference (i.e. Registration information and deadline, housing information, tours, proceeding, survey, speakers, etc.)

- Once conference site has been selected, the committee is responsible for dealing with any issues and concerns regarding local arrangements and volunteer force before and during the conference from the recruitment of volunteers, the scouting out of local supporters, vendors and entertainers, and the assignment of duties to each volunteer for the various venues of the conference (i.e. registration, opening reception, daily assistance, programs, directional staff, etc.)
