JCLC 2026 is now accepting applications to serve on the Planning Committees. We are accepting applications through Sunday, April 13, 2025. Additional volunteer opportunities may be available as we get closer to the conference date.
Volunteers will be expected to attend regular committee meetings, complete tasks outside of meeting times, work with documents in Google Drive, and use Basecamp to communicate and document task completion. Some committees will also need to provide onsite support at the conference.
This is a great opportunity to work with colleagues, gain and contribute experience, and make a huge impact on the delivery of library and information services to our diverse communities.
Notification of selected volunteers will occur in two phases:
- Round 1 – appointments communicated by May 1 for Conference Planning, Logistics & Local Arrangements; Exhibits & Placement Center; Fundraising & Sponsorships; Marketing & Conference Website
- Round 2 – appointments communicated by July 31 for Awards & Scholarships; Concurrent Programs, Poster Sessions & Proceedings; Pre-Conference, Keynotes & Authors’ Events; Registration & Conference Evaluations Committee
